COREBIS is a Contract Registration and Billing System.
It automatically generates invoices by using the defined contracts and container handlings collected from the operational system CTCS (Container Terminal Control System).
The Corebis concept
Before any invoicing can be started, the contracts and the corresponding conditions have to be registered in COREBIS.
During the operations every CTCS container handling is sent to COREBIS. Both systems, CTCS and COREBIS, do not necessarily reside on the same computer.
After the completion of a vessel handling (function: close a vessel call in CTCS), a dossier is opened in COREBIS. The user can start the vessel invoicing process, allowing the invoicing of vessel related handlings.
First the user has to collect from CTCS the operational handlings related to the vessel. COREBIS converts these handlings into a contract-related format (billing handlings). Once finished, you can list and modify these billing handlings.
Now automatic billing can be started. The invoices are generated using the parameters defined in the contract.
As a final control, all generated invoices can be previewed before printing.
The invoicing of non-vessel related handlings can be started on a periodical basis.
